Owl Be Better With Music: My Name is Madeline Mae Bennett and I am 19 years old. I started the Non-Profit Organization called Owl Be Better with Music when I was 17 to help bring music therapy to kids and adults who face life altering health conditions. I was seven years old when my grandfather passed away from Cancer. The following summer my family attended the annual Relay for Life (American Cancer Association). One of my first memories of the relay was how I saw kids my own age wearing the cancer survival shirts. At that point I decided I wanted to help. I have been playing the drums and piano since second grade and have learned how much music can help make someone feel better. I want to be able to help teach those who are suffering from life altering health issues ways that they can use music to help them cope with the struggles. I started this blog to post about upcoming events and the kids that I will help along the way.
